Episode 133: Mind Prep – the Book! Part 2
Jul 18, 2023 Episode 133
Connie Stapleton, Ph.D.

In the last podcast episode, I reviewed my book called MindPrep – the Book! The title says “the book” in it because I have a video series called MindPrep. The video series is what inspired me to turn the content into a book. Not only do I include all of the information from the Mind Prep videos in the book, I have added information I’ve accumulated over the many years since initially developing the initial video series. If you missed the last podcast episode in which I reviewed the first half of the book, be sure to listen to it! In this episode, I’m discussing the last half of the book, the section focused primarily on the psychological and emotional changes that take place after a person has surgery. Things like your relationships… with food, with other people, and with yourself! I cover the importance of the Gotta Do ‘Ems, how vital it is to participate in an Aftercare program, and how critical it is to immerse yourself in learning the skills you need in order to refrain from emotional eating, to deal with naysayers and to avoid self-sabotage. Take a listen and then order the book either from my webpage at www.conniestapletonphd.com or from Amazon! Let’s get started with today’s episode!
